From time to time check here for FAQ’s and answers regarding data and Third Party Applications. This site will continue evolving and will reflect your insights and actual situations encountered in the pre-sales support phase of our business. 2007 EOY BSP Survey – Sponsored by Solutions Consulting:
The following document (& link – via Zoomerang) will be distributed to the Indirect organization in order to conduct a survey of those ARs who have leveraged and can provide feedback for the SC organization in terms of their overall value in 2007 to help with establishing better support and align objectives for Sprint w/ 2008. ISMs/IAEs are encouraged not only to evangelize this to their ARs, but also to participate in the survey and provide candid/honest feedback in an effort to help the SC organization to be better as a whole.
In an effort to consolidate and update our testimonials and customer successes, our team has started a new blog. The goal is to get as many updated testimonials about our solutions in one place. Hopefully, this will save time so we don’t have to search partner sites, google, snc, inc, iconnect, etc. for testimonials. This is going to include items that have been signed off by the customer or gathered from other public sources. It will be available both internally and externally.
Make sure to log your Nextel Push To Talk (PTT) ID in the GAL:
As a continuing campaign for Re-Connect w/ Direct Connect, we remind you to publish your PTT ID in the Outlook corporate directory. The following link will allow you to go in and modify that information only – http://directoryservices/Webtools/pushtotalk.asp.
Free Demo Trial for NextMail – via Direct Connect:
In keeping with the company’s focus on “The Power of the Button”, the upcoming emphasis on Push-to-X solutions will become more horizontal to internal employees and external customers/partners. NextMail has been part of the Nextel portfolio for many years as a seamless, cost-effective & efficient means to shorten (or eliminate) hold times for individuals, workers and businesses to communicate. Instead of using traditional cellular, email or (in some cases) Push-To-Talk, a Nextel user can relay a voice message – which offers a time & date stamp of the event – to another Nextel user and receive both audible & visual (via internet) confirmation with one push of the button. This is a great application for any service-based organization or individual (consumer) to use for quick, simple communications when you can’t wait.
The makers of NextMail would like to ‘Re-connect’ the Sprint organization with NextMail, by providing a free demo of this solution to be used on their newly received EDRP Nextel device. Please provide the following information to your local SC so that your account can be established ASAP:
• Direct Connect #
• iDEN PTN
The link provided below is to a Flash Demo of NextMail that will demonstrate much of the functionality and the overall appeal of the service. If your team (or your partners) require additional training on this solution, please reach out to your SC who can coordinate an available date for a web-based overview of this solution – www.pdvcorp.com/nextmail_demo.html
FYI – Decommissioning of Good Mobile Messaging for Sprint Employees:
Please be aware that Sprint employees contemplating the purchase of a Palm Treo or Windows Mobile device should be aware that the wireless email platform Good Mobile Messaging is being decommissioned internally. You will still have Microsoft DirectPush via ActiveSync as a solution on these devices. It is recommended that you purchase a Windows OS or BlackBerry OS device to most effectively utilize the wireless platforms that exist internally. Sprint IT will be also send rolling notifications to advise employees to migrate off GOOD during the next couple of months.
NOTE: As a reminder, Sprint has made a decision to extend their licensing agreement with GOOD for an additional year…which means that support for GOOD service will be available to existing customers (CALs, etc.) on specific devices. The following attachment is a list of FAQs related to this topic.
